Dr. Rekha Verma, Asst. Professor in the Department of ECE, has recently received the highly prestigious TechnoInventor Award 2014 from India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) for her PhD thesis. This award is given to an individual from Indian Universities with the most innovative, cutting edge and relevant research at either in the masters level or at the doctoral level. The award consists of a citation and INR 75,000 to the winner. Dr. Verma worked on the theoretical aspects of carbon nanomaterials for application in thermal management of integrated circuits and thermoelectric generator. Her doctoral research work has resulted in seven International journal publications (six in IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, one in Semiconductor Science and Technology, IOP) as well as formulation of one Indian patent application.
