IIIT-Allahabad has a self-governing democratic organization for its students called Student's Gymkhana. The Students’ Gymkhana is empowered to achieve the following objectives with the active help and support of its members and the infrastructure available at its disposal:

To encourage and regulate the student activities in the institute.
To promote and develop organizational abilities in students.
Identify student issues, promote active discussion and take resolute actions.
To develop a well-informed, articulate, and participative student community life, and to increase social awareness.

Student’s Gymkhana consists of many councils like cultural council, academic council, students’ welfare council, and many more. Every council have many societies under them like the cultural council have dance society, music society, etc. There are many hobby groups for the students where they can pursue their interest like coding, creative art forms etc. The councils like cultural, alongside with other councils and their societies, successfully organizes several annual events in the Institute including:

Effervescence, the annual cultural festival
Aparoksha, the annual technical festival
Asmita, the annual sports festival etc.

Finally, I must say that the education is incomplete without the overall personality development and IIIT Allahabad provides ample opportunities to its students to bring out the hidden talent of the students and help them to excel in every walk of their life. I wish all the students to attain all the success in professional as well as in their personal life.
