The objectives of the programmes offered by the Department of Information Technology are:
- To equip students with state of art knowledge and skill in Information Technology and to produce engineers with outstanding ability
- To create future leaders of IT industry and profession
- To add to the existing intellectual pool of young minds to meet the growing demands of the nation in Information Technology and
- To lay a foundation for life long learning ability and a capacity for adaptation in the ever changing world
The programmes aim to achive these objectives by moulding young talents as engineers who can recognize and solve problems in different technical and social domains. The main emphasis of the programmes is to instill inquisitive thinking and curiosity with a sense of service to the nation and society at large; and with a capacity to recognize the need for a change and drive the change to make the world a better place to live.
